Find out what solving techniques are required to solve your sudoku puzzle with our analysis feature.
The analysis feature uses the Sudoku Snake rating system to find out what techniques are required to solve the puzzle and add them to determine the puzzle's skill level. To find out more about how this works see the pages devoted to our analysis tool and rating system.
Once the analysis is performed a dialog appears as seen above that shows the results of the analysis, including a list of the solving techniques required to solve the puzzle.
The skill level is calculated automatically in design mode whenever a change is made. Puzzles of extremely high skill level may take several minutes to be analyzed, so at a certain point around the Diabolical level the puzzles are no longer analyzed automatically. For these upper-level puzzles the analysis feature must be used to discover the puzzle's difficulty.
