Tertiary Unit

A Tertiary Unit is the location of the fin in a finned fish pattern. A single fin can exist in more than one cell if those cells share a unit that is not one of the primary or secondary units. This is called a tertiary unit. These cells can then be counted as one if the elimination from the finned fish lies within the tertiary unit, or if the chain extending from the fin in a Kraken pattern has a second link that is within this tertiary unit.
