If a number shows up as the only candidate in a cell, you may set that cell value to be that number. In the example below the candidate 4 is the only remaining candidate in C8 after all of the eliminations from looking at its column and box. Since no other value may be in that cell, it must be a 4. Because this is harder to spot than a hidden single when no candidates are filled-in, it is given a Sudoku Snake skill value of 8.
